She was 17 yrs. when she first came to us.

She complained that her front teeth were very large with fullness of lips. She also complained of bad smile, and mouth remaining open while sleeping.

On clinical examination, she had a badly decayed lower right first molar and an over retained upper left deciduous canine, because of which that permanent canine was pushed out

In normal cases of this type, all four first premolars would have been extracted. But in her case, the decayed molar was extracted.
